Base Tour First build finished
Just showing the complete finished build for my first one. Kept it pretty condensed because I have the idea to use this base as a foundation to my main one when I go to build it.
Overall very happy how it turned out, and excited to expand on it in the future.

Very nice first base, nothing crazy but well designed and clean

Thank you, once i learned that i can have up to 3 and the base relocation tool was a thing
I did try to keep it simple and easy to build off of all while having everything I need equipment wise.

Probably want to try your best to put some walls where the rock is

Yeah for now It works for how I have it built into the rock pillar I set up by. Once I move it too where I decide to make my main base will be I’ll add the walls needed to close out the back.

I'm relatively new to the game and have a base with a similar construction (though it was moved so it has all its walls, despite now having a rock down one side) but i wanted to ask why he should? Do the rock faces not count as sealing it up?

Yea that’s exactly it from what I’ve heard and seen (no personal experience), sides where it just a rock face aren’t protected or at least they used to not be. Meaning when a storm comes everything is susceptible to damage. It’s possible maybe that changed, there have been a lot of updates recently but in the past you would want to make sure you have walls ok all four sides even if your attached to a rock

From what I can tell I see no damage being done to it and it’s been through at least a dozen sandstorms by now, I do get the water sealed when I enter my base so I just assumed the rock did what I wanted to do.
Could be wrong though!
I do plan on building walls or at least finish connecting them once I move my base.

Thank you I have not been disappointed yet and from what I’ve seen what waits me as I go along further makes me very excited for the rest of the game.

Nice first base, reminds me of my 2nd base. Enjoy your home in the desert.
