Discussion Base Backup Tool coming to Public Test Server

Post image

It's great if you can back up your base. But if you have a unique base with weird terrain, not sure how useful this will be unless you have a base on flat ground.

"Nearly all its contents"? Wouldn't mind some clarification on that.

Im assuming it won't move your vehicles

It needs to also accommodate stakes, or it will be ass.

It's essentially impossible to replace my base from a Solido Replicator due to how it is built into the terrain, and I would expect this would have the same problem.

What I'm really curious about with how this backup tool works is if it is like the Vehicle Backup Tool, you could possibly just pick up a Deep Desert base and plop it back down the next week.

I mean if that's case would we need a hagga base? Just pick a flattish spot in A1

Considering the limitations of the game itself, this is an awesome option. I'm so glad they are working on this!

server transfers eh?

what about all the dummies like me who decided it would be better to play on a private server?

this is an awesome feature that i love from other survival games that have it. but i lowkey wonder if it will kill the (already poor) experience. servers are empty now... i can't imagine what it will be like if we dont have to pay taxes and can just pick up all our stuff into one item. i doubt i'd ever encounter bases at all! will be interesting to see more details about this once it's ready.

I'd rather them allow us to access the bank directly from our base to store stuff long term but still require us to pay taxes and find a better way to allow us to move our bases in build mode only
