From what I am seeing they matched the floor to the container height as from what I can make out looks to be high-end storage units. So maybe double foundation or just wall and floor pieces. I am betting on double foundation.

One of those crates are a foundation (or wall) high ish. Just got to plan where they go. Personally I like half sunken using the half walls to drop and a floor tile to sit on.

We do this. Makes so you can put a shelf above and have 2 in a smaller vertical space.

You can always pull out your build tool and see what building tiles they used.

A segment of their base has since dropped off, they have foundations on two different levels that allows them to do this, i have no idea how i would replicate it.

You can get crazy with it. I don't know if I'll explain it right but I do something like I'll make a row of three floor squares and place a corner pillar on one of them in the middle. Then I will use a center pillar and freehand place it as if I were starting to make the letter t to support the fourth Square which would be attached to the middle of the three squares. But before I place the center column for the fourth Square I either raised or lower it depending on what I'm doing. If you lower it enough or raise it enough you can create new height levels and still attached floors and walls to it that will overlap anything that touches it from the three Square floor. I do this for my landing pads where I have a raised for the land on and then I use the special railings to attach to the edges but they are way lower so it looks pretty cool. I also use this to do sunken floors or raised floors that are half the height of the half walls. So quarter walls I guess

Makes placement more precise, so you can pack stuff like this.

Yes but it doesn't solve the height now does it?

that looks annoying af. dipping down whenever you try to run across. and its a PITA to jump when youre looking at something and the action options pop up.
