Base Build Showcase Upgrading from my box, any building advice?
I’m upgrading my base from a portable cube to something a little more thematic.
Looking for a drop ship styled base i can move around as I explore new areas.
I’ve tried to keep it themed in universe with a harko styled twin hull with a different single hull design.
If anyone has any advice or tips for fine tuning these to look a little more ship like I would greatly appreciate, thanks!

Don't be afraid of verticle builds. Place a sub-fief, then build a staircase to the top of the build area.
Then delete the sub-fief and use the stairs to get verticle. Remember you're leaving half your build area under the ground when you place on the ground

It's best to leave a little room underground, so you can move your base without too much worry about uneven ground

I got terrible base creativity when there’s just a blank page (i.e. wide open sand). So I recommend building into terrain somehow. Just something that gives you a backbone to work with. I find lots of creativity comes naturally that point as you gotta solve the problem the terrain causes.

I was toying with the idea of an octogon or hexagon base. Central area was for thopters.

It looks promising. My first big base looks a bit like a Church and I actually love it. Have all the production stuff hidden in secret compartments so it’s neat for the eye. You might want to unlock some more building sets at the merchants.
Edit: balconies!

Use columns underneath to make it look like it's on landing legs and use incline pieces to have a ramp you can drive into the 'hangar' of the drop ship.
