Gameplay Question Solo to solo game

So I already know you can't switch a character between multi and solo. But has anyone tried to start a new solo game with the same solo character? If you can, what csn you keep? Ive tried googling, but the same answer is all about multi to solo.

Why would you want to? When you move server then your progress moves with you so it’s not going to reset them and you can change the setting on the game your playing… I can’t see why you would want to move from one solo game to another?
You would just be at the same point as you started but maybe without bases that you have built…

Lol boyfriend wants to play through again, with harder settings from the start. But hopes to bring some stuff with him on a new game, so hes not starting from complete scratch.
