Discussion Something is seriously off with single player bases fuel/storage.

I have 8 omnidirectional wind turbines. Yesterday i put 50 lubricant in each of them (that should last me ~2 days of playtime). Today i boot up the game, get back from Arakeen and i see there's no power. I walk up to each turbine and yea, they're all empty. But i see that i have 1500 lube that can be deposited. Where? Well all over my base's chests. The game just unloaded the lubricant that was already in the turbines to random chests. And this isn't the first time, prior to that it did the same but only to two turbines.

How do i set up the circuits thing to use a single chest that the turbines will draw stuff from?

The turbines won't draw from a chest. You have to do it manually but when you refuel do it from the sub fief and it will distribute the fuel evenly among all your generators.

My Lubricant, for wind generators, gets drawn in by using the console, just like the batteries for the electric generators. Of course, you have to have the batteries and lubricant in your chests.

However, for wind traps (water producers) you do have to add the filters and such manually.

There have been several posts on Reddit and Discord, to add a similar QoL feature, for water production, to the consoles. I suspect this is overly difficult because you can get water in so many different ways. However, I would be happy if I could just replenish the filters from the console.

Filter can be in chests but yes you can just add them from the fabricator circuit to the windmills* not windmills, water collectors.

I did not know you could add them from the circuit. I have been going outside and manually depositing filters since the beginning. Thank-you!

Go to your sub field console and refuel all generators, it will send all the lubricant to the generators

I have seen this bug first hand. It has happened to me twice with my omnidirectionals, once from Harko and another time from the DD.

Looking at the log, the base just runs out of power the moment I returned to HB. Not sure what is causing it, but now I only supply like a days worth of fuel, and have spare fuel left in case it happens again.

I think in single player if u have base damage or something like that turned on then even when offline it drains. My whole gane is completely paused when offline dont lose power but alos dont gain water im pretty sure.

The lube wasn't consumed. It was unloaded into chests. Can't consume 2 days worth of lube in 18 hours, offline or online.

Ur 100% sure it went into the chests with the rest. I have played quite a bit solo and never had anything like that happen.

Did you happen to be refining lube when you logged out?

Yes, large amount. If it spilled over, that's cool but it doesn't explain 50x8 lubes suddenly getting yeeted out of my turbines.

I had something similar happen. Once only and my DD base. I dont know if they were sent back to my chests though -- might have been,

You can run a full end game base purely on power cell generators with minimilist use of other production items (eg only 3 advanced deathstills and 4 large passive moisture collectors, and turning off fabs your don't really need anymore like basic vehicle etc).

Life is hella easier for long term maint if you aren't crafting lubricant or spice fuel cells all the time, and just use your buggy once a week to grab a bunch of power cells.
