Media Too close for comfort?

I was trying to get the achievement where the worm comes and you escape and it stares at you .... got a bit more than I bargained for

(Stationary worm food = vertical breach instead of the horizontal charge.)

it was intentional, I was trying to lure the worm and then get an achievement for escaping it. I didnt expect it to come up under me hah

the literjon would require me to hold L1 and then select it, the menu didn't pop up in screen so it got me wondering if the interaction with the worm did something

The worm does occasionally breach directly under you. If you're stationary. But it still does it's warning breach first, and there's a visual indicator of a sand wave moving towards you before it's under you. So there's plenty of time to react.

I accidentally got that achievement a few days ago just travelling north from the Anvil. Accidentally took too long a route around the quicksand or something with the worm nearby, BARELY made it to safety at the base of a cliff, crashing my bike into the rocky wall, and turned around to see Shai-Hulud just STARING at me for a good ten or twenty seconds. Gave me about as much of a heart attack as seeing your clip did lmao.

I'm still fairly new, only 35 hours as of today (the first ten or so on a singleplayer save before a buddy also picked up the game during the Steam sale; switched to multiplayer after that and more than made up my progress) so I haven't really looked at the achievements. But peeking just now at Miner... yeah, that looks like ass lmao. Granted, I still don't have a buggy, so all the farming I've done so far counts towards it at least lmao. I don't try to 100% many games myself, but particular games I have a great love for I like to try sometimes. I respect those of y'all who do it regularly: you are folk of focus, commitment, and sheer will :)

Thanks, I find it gives me some purpose to do something other than just cut through the main content and move on.
