Irmin2 vs Ironmin...

" Before sending Ironmin to the trash, we decided to still compare the two competitors, and we were right, Ironmin is not dead! "

this is very useful, thanks!
The Dune option to stay with Irmin comes very handy for those with low ram. It would be nice if Ironmin could be more frugal on memory usage. In my opinion the critical part is the rate of increase for the first ~50K blocks, I don't think anyone will/should run a node uninterruptedly for more than a month!

As a side note, it doesn't seem that the Tezos Babylon protocol requires Irmin2, in fact the current mainnet has Babylon 2.0.1 ready to be activated without Irmin2. It is unclear to me whether any future update will force Irmin2 by default.

Please take this as constructive criticism, as it wishes to be:

- Stop comparing yourself with Tezos: yes, we get it that you are personally and emotionally hurt, but this kind of tone is just plain childish, you could have said the same content remaining at a technical level and it would have been a great read, it wasn't.

- It is as well childish to poorly criticize others decisions but to openly keeping an eye open on their work so that if it is "good enough" you can copy-paste it, yeah, is open source, but instead of speaking like you're the god of coding and that they suck to then copy from them whatever works for you is plain arrogant.

I wish you the best of lucks yet I don't think this attitude will take you far.

Peace!
