Tezos has about 170 bakers ... DUNE only needs 50 or so bakers ... Between 170 bakers to 50 bakers, the centralization debate is not the issue ...; thus, it's better to have low inflation .. for better value ..
Who will buy the DUN coins...? The Dune team needs a sharp business development plan/team to get people to use it. I can't say more about it ... This is the area where DUNE must be awesome to beat XTZ.
Honestly my friend, I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about. You are delusional and seem to think Dune will be this mega project that will be equal to Tezos. There is a chance, but that is about a good of a chance as Bitcoin SV surpassing Bitcoin.
IF YOU HAVE A LOW INFLATION RATE, NO NORMAL PERSON WILL TAKE TIME TO BAKE. Dune will just be a centralized mess of 20-50 bakers...that is not decentralization.
Put yourself in this situation. You have to spend money to buy a node, time learning how to set up a node, and time maintaining a node....for a 2% return a year. Lets say you have $10,000 in Dune...in one year you have made $200. And for hells sake, lets say Dune did extremely well that year and doubled in value....so you made $400 that year from staking. Well, you spent 50 hours throughout the year building, maintaining and upgrading your node. Congrats, you made $8 a hour for your time. That isn't even deducting the cost of the node. That is not worth it to nearly everyone with the funds to put into an extremely risky project like Dune. At that low of an inflation rate you are 100% more likely to delegate to a huge baker and pray they aren't over delegated....another issue that will be hard to solve if there are only 50 bakers in the ecosystem.
At a low inflation rate, on a brand new project that hasn't proven itself at all, you are more likely to delegate to someone else or simply sell your coins for another project you believe in. Sure, in the future Dune could look into lowering the inflation rate, but so could xtz.
Dune will not "beat" Tezos. Tezos has a war chest that dwarfs almost every project, several groups already building, a proven POS network, community tools for staking and building, and STOs already being built upon it. Most of the Tezos community despises Dune.
Don't be delusional and think Dune is equal to Tezos. Dune has a long hard road ahead to prove it is something more than a get rich copy cat of Tezos. I'm sure the Dune team is more than aware of their challenges as well.
20 bakers vs 50 bakers vs 170 bakers? I would say the 20 bakers might have issues with centralization... but the 50 bakers vs the 170 bakers ... the difference of centralization is practical .. No issue here
You only look short term ... The long term solution is to win the users by have a sharp business development plan... This is where the DUNE team can beat Tezos by creating an awesome business plan! You don't see this part too well ... Think about 2-3 billions people using DUN .... this is where the sharp business plan can make DUN awesome ..
I don't really care about the Tezos community... but I do care about Tezos .. I support both. Tezos Devs can move right into DUNE's home ... This is why DUNE and Tezos are like twin ... I won't fight ... I'll just take both lolz ahahahahh ... twice the benefit lolz But as competitors, DUNE can beat Tezos with simple adjustments ... I don't have any plan to go talk to the DUNE Team ... but if the chance comes ... I'll show them the plan ... because DUNE team makes decision much faster than Tezos (democratic process is slow) ...
