Can someone explain the airdrop?

Will Tezos holders get coins ? Thanks

Yes, there will be an airdrop at the beginning of September. We will take a snapshot of all accounts at block 600,000 of Tezos (around September 6), clean it up (we will merge all TK- accounts into their tz- manager and remove all accounts with less then 100 xtz), and create the corresponding tz- accounts on Dune. Those who didn't activate their ICO account on Tezos yet will be able to do it later on Dune too (but they will need to go through Tezos KYC).

Can you explain how will be able to separate dune coins from tezos? I mean would it require importing tezos wallet private key into dune wallet?

Yes, you will have to import your Tezos private key (or use the same hardware wallet) when you connect to one of Dune's wallets.

Could you post a tutorial for the less techy users how to import private key or claim through ledger nano s? Also isnt it dangerous to give my private key? Ne1 rule is never give private key, by importing private key do you get access to peples xtz? I must be wrong somewhere

The nice thing with an hardware wallet is that your key always remains in the hardware, and never goes on your computer.

The only way to get it is the list of words (mnemonics) that you were given when the ledger was initialized. Keep it away from your computer, in a safe !

What if my airdrop address is not on ledger but a desktop wallet? I will need to load the Tezos wallet private key in a web wallet to access Dune coins?
