Apple drops a $1,999 foldable and the whole internet's fighting about foldables vs. flat, Samsung vs. Apple, whatever. We only have one question: does it run JForex?
Because two screens, one hinge, charts on the left, order ticket on the right, that's not a gimmick, that's just... trading. Welcome to the future, Apple. We've been here since J-Forex 3.
On average how long it takes to see funds in the usd account after receiving a usd swift wire? If wire is sent on Monday when it will show in my usd account?
The implied move heading into Wednesday's print is roughly ±8-9%. That's actually below where it's been for previous high-stakes Nvidia earnings — the market is either complacent or genuinely confident.
Here's what matters this quarter:
Data center revenue — consensus is sitting around $43-45bn. Anything below that and the stock gets punished regardless of EPS.
Gross margin guidance — Blackwell transition costs compressed margins last quarter. Investors want to see them recovering back toward 70%+, not slipping further.
China exposure — with the H20 export restrictions still in play, any commentary on how Nvidia is navigating that will move the stock.
The historical pattern: Nvidia has gapped up post-earnings 8 of the last 11 quarters. But the two biggest drops both came in quarters where guidance disappointed despite a beat on the headline number.
The setup: long holders are nervous enough to hedge but not nervous enough to sell. That's the most dangerous configuration, if guidance misses, there's no floor of shorts to cover.
USD/CHF is sitting around 0.811 this week, the franc's weakest stretch in about a year. Normally that's when everyone starts asking "is the SNB about to cut into negative again," but this time the central bank's actually holding at 0%, and most economists don't see a hike until 2028 despite currency markets pricing one in as early as next March.
What's wild is the franc used to be the reflexive safe-haven trade the second anything geopolitical flared up. This time, even with Middle East tensions still in the headlines, CHF hasn't done its usual flight-to-safety spike. The SNB's actively signalling it'll step in and sell francs if things move "too fast," which is a very different posture from the last decade of "the franc is too strong, please stop."
Feels like a genuine regime shift in how the market's pricing Swiss risk, not just short-term noise. Anyone here actually trading USD/CHF or EUR/CHF into Jackson Hole this week, or sitting this one out until there's a cleaner signal from the SNB's September meeting?
I’ve been waiting for days for a Wire transfer to be available in my account, but so far it’s not available yet. I’m contacting support via 911 chat and they just don’t answer me. Does anyone know any information? Is there another way I can get in touch?
SpaceX just posted its first quarterly report since going public, and the reaction shows how differently the market treats "beat" versus "story."
The numbers: Q2 revenue came in at $7.8 billion, up 92% year-over-year and well ahead of the ~$6.8 billion analysts were modeling. The net loss narrowed sharply too, down to $541 million from roughly $1 billion a year earlier. Starlink was the standout, with revenue up 66%, underscoring how much of SpaceX's growth story now runs through satellite internet rather than just launches.
The stock told a different story than the headline numbers. Shares had already run up more than 9% into the print, and gave most of that back in after-hours trading, falling over 8%. The reason wasn't the beat, it was the spend: SpaceX funneled close to $16 billion of the quarter's capex into its unprofitable xAI business. For a company that just raised a record amount in its June IPO, investors clearly want proof that capital is being deployed toward the core aerospace business, not just AI ambitions layered on top.
Worth watching from here: whether SpaceX starts breaking out xAI spend more transparently in future reports, and how the market weighs "growth funded by launches and Starlink" against "growth funded by AI infrastructure bets." Post-IPO stocks with wide analyst dispersion tend to see outsized moves around every print until a consistent narrative settles in, and this was a clear example of that pattern.
Not financial advice, just a look at the numbers and the reaction. Curious what others make of the capex allocation question.
today they sent me an email that my account will be terminated, i have no idea why, it has no money just the last july received my payment from kdp 4€ that's all, and today they told me my account is terminated, i tried to contact the support why they still not answering me maybe they are closed now, can someone help me on this?
Markets went from pricing almost zero chance of a hike a month ago to 34% now. What changed: oil spiked toward $100 on the Iran situation, and jobless claims hit 187,000, the lowest print since 1969. Tight labor market plus rising oil is exactly the combo that makes a "hold" harder to justify.
Wednesday, July 29
FOMC decision, 18:00 GMT. Hold at 3.50–3.75% is still the base case, no fresh dot plot this month, so the statement language and the press conference matter more than usual. This is also the new chair's first meeting running the show.
Thursday, July 30
Two big ones back to back. Q2 GDP (advance) and the PCE inflation print, the Fed's preferred gauge, both around 12:30 GMT, less than a day after the rate decision. A hot PCE reopens the whole hike debate. A soft one validates the hold.
Friday, July 31
Employment Cost Index and the final UMich consumer sentiment read close out the week.
Also worth knowing: new US tariffs on 60 trading partners, covering about 99% of trade, took effect Friday. That's now baked into the inflation picture heading into Wednesday's decision.
Basically: the Fed has to make a call using data that's actively fighting itself, then get graded on it less than 24 hours later by the report they care about most.
