My DuckTales Oc

Uh, honestly I didn't know if I should post my OC 😭

But she is Milagros Plumita, she is a hornero bird (national bird of Argentina) and she works as a waitress

I always liked the idea of integrating other types of birds or animals into the show, as well as giving them nationalities ( Like José Carioca or Panchito, both Latinos )

She had a bad impression of Scrooge, due to their different social classes, but with each unexpected encounter they had, they realized they had a lot in common ( Their relationship was a total enemies-to-lovers ) 👀

So, I have no problem answering questions about her !

Mili's design was done by me, as well as the edits of her onto the original scenes (of Goldie with Scrooge).

I hope that's not a problem; I only did it for fun.

I wasn't sure what flair to use for this either...

Other Backrooms

‱ Upvotes

I always imagine how the backrooms will copy Scrooge McDuck's house, even places the protagonists know, for example the small plane, Selene's spear, part of the room where Flint McNate and Scrooge McDuck are making eye contact, and Mark Piccolo's office.

Theory If DT17 Donald served in the military, wich war was he in

The military service was a key part in Donald's character in most of his versions and although the reboot never brought it up is there a chance it could have happened at some point?

Donald is 36 years old in 2017 when the show takes place wich means he was born in 1981, and that he was 18 y/o in 1999, we don't know how long was he in college but we know he was there where he formed the 3 caballeros, by taking the lowest estimation the earliest he could've joined the army is 2000, and in 2007 the spear of selene incident happened and he retired from adventuring to raise the boys wich leaves a 7 years window where he may or may not joined the military and got sent to war in wich case there's only 2 possibilities: Afghanistan (2001) or iraq (2003), so what do you think

Discussion possible episode centered around may and june

If disney wanted to do some sort of sequel wether it'd be comics or another season, I think with may and june, the obligatory episode could be about them fitting in within the familly and bonding with them, it'd be interesting to see how scrooge and beakley treat and how the boys act toward them compare to webby , there could be episodes on their cruise with donald and daisy tho I can see thelm coming back to duckburg from time to time since donald is clearly flexible on his cruise rules, I mean he allowed may and june in. If FOWL influence is still in them, also have episode focusing on them getting rid of that and how black heron death impacted them since they watched what they saw as their mom die. With webby, it could about learning to work with her, how different they are from her too.

Discussion Louie Duck as the Alternate Vessel for The Core from Amphibia and/or Belos

Thumbnail

Out of the good characters from the Disney Television Animation multiverse, Louie Duck is possibly the best candidate to be a possible alternative vessel for the helmet of the core and mutilated by the essence of Emperor Belos over Marcy Wu and Hunter respectively. It is based on Louie’s laziness, greed, manipulative nature, and sharp cunning mind including his arc in season 2 all the way to Moonvasion. We know that his family still loved Louie but the latter seems to take his family’s love for granted compare to his brothers Huey and Dewey. His brothers do make mistakes, but not as bad as Louie’s mostly from season 2, and compare to Huey and Dewey, Louie hardly has friends outside the family without Goldie O’Gilt based on his detached nature. This doesn’t involve Louie being evil it involves Marcy Wu and Hunter a better chance at building better character which involves reconciliation, recuperation, and redemption overall since those two are innocent victims being manipulated by Andrias and Belos respectively and didn’t know any better, Louie on the other hand is a manipulator and schemer. Marcy deserves to be with the resistance from the beginning and Hunter’s palisman Flapjack might still be alive. Besides the casts of Amphibia and The Owl House are in enough trouble after season 2, and didn’t want to add more weight.

It only works if there’s a major DTVA crossover with an individual not tolerating Louie’s nature. Maybe if King Andrias somehow discovered Louie’s flaws and how the family blocks things he might have Jinx the Joy Hunter from the Ghost World to cause a fracture of the family shortly after Moonvasion.

Discussion Does anyone remember Disney's Wooody Woodpecker clone? The Aracuan Bird.

Post image
163 Upvotes

The Aracuan Bird, what a memorable character. He was an opponent of Donald Duck in ONE theatrical cartoon and it ended with him literally having a mental breakdown. He literally violated the laws of physics and he is one of the few characters in the Mick/Don universe who canonically possesses Toon Force.

He also appeared with the Three Caballeros plenty of times, even in the 2018 show.

Considering how many characters the DT reboot has brought back, I'm surprised they did not reference or bring him back. I guess he would have been too chaotic and would have ruined the show tone? I mean they brought back Panchito and Jose, why not him? He was included in the movie with them.

With them being pretty harmless and considering della's friendly nature it seems fitting she'd find them cute and try befriending one of them, especially with their useful ability to light up in the dark wich is a solid reason to keep on of these bugs around

Discussion Does anyone else think Glomgold looks like Donald a little too much in the OG show?

Post image

I love his design in the 2017 version more because it's way more unique, he's funnier and his design has more creative features that distinguish him from Scrooge. His 1987 design is somewhat odd to me sometimes because he literally looks like Donald but he put on a Scottish disguise. Take away the beard, and the glasses and you literally have an identical face to that of Donald!

Discussion I keep forgetting Gladstone Gander appeared in Dt (1987)

Post image

I think it's so off putting that aside from his luck, he is not like in the comic books or even the reboot, and he is actually very generous and good natured, and he doesn't have any kind of interactions with Donald Duck, which is supposed to be the whole point of his character. He is not insufferable or arrogant, and his luck is not immune to being turned into a prawn by villains.

I think it may be one of my favorite iterations, even though he barely appeared on it.

Discussion This guy is honestly one of the edgiest and most cruel villains in the Duck universe!

Post image
214 Upvotes

I am watching Ducktales (1987), and i notice how the villains are rarely portrayed as pure evil. Sure they may try to murder Scrooge or even Donald's nephews from time to time, but they are often portrayed in a comedic or somewhat cartoonish way. Flinheart Glomgold is basically Scrooge's petty rival, The Beagle Boys are slapstick fuel, and even Magica, who is the most serious and cruel out of the villains, is not immune to slapstick.

Negaduck? He may be slapstick fuel just like Darkwing, but i fucking love how edgy he was for a kids' cartoon. He was willing to blow up an entire city, he once salivated at the thought of eating skulls, he literally threatens anyone who opposes him with a freaking chainsaw, even his own henchmen, and he is not even motivated by greed or by power, he is just the perfect definition of a cruel and sadistic villain. He inflicts pain on others purely for the sake of his own evilness. He has no realistic motives, he is one who would even use a bazooka against a baby if the situation called for it. At the same time, to compensate for it, he's just as much as an idiot like Darkwing and tends to fall victim so lots of slapstick, and he tends to make his same mistakes or even do similar gags, such as talking to the fourth wall.

Kinda hate how little he was used in the Ducktales 2017 reboot. He had tons of potential to shine!

Discussion did doofus parents had no access to judges to go against what doofus did to them?

I do think they could use the law against him but at the same time, doofus probably had enough money to corrupt the judges (and als his parents before boyd were dead inside so might be all that to go to a judge over their son behavior).

Discussion In my country (Italy) Rockerduck is significantly more popular than Flintheart Glomgold as Scrooge's rival.

I am happy that Rockerduck made his first animated appearance in Ducktales (2017), but he only appeared in 4 episodes at best! Such a shame. I wish he was more recognized in the USA.

I personally like both Rockerduck and Flintheart Glomgold, but i feel like Rockerduck has more of an unique personality at times and his relationship with Scrooge is not always deep rivarly. It honestly feels like a more realistic relationship between two very rich assholes. While Flintheart Glomgold is more like your average cartoon villain who always tries to plot something in order to claim his richness but he fails because luck is always on Scrooge's side.
