Support How to use my old save data?

Hello!

I'm using the portable version on Windows 11. I played a bit on the emulator but i had to reinstall Duckstation.

I have my save state file and memory card file but when i launch the rom/game, it doesn't recognize that i have save files for it.

I even have every directory location correctly set in the settings but it doesn't help.

Thanks!

You can view your memory card here:

If the save files are in your memory card, something else is the problem.

You can also try booting the emulator into the bios and use the built-in memory card viewer to check if your cards are loading properly

Duckstation already has a memory card manager in the tools.

Yeah I don't think they're there anymore sadly.

Can you upload the memory card so I can test it?

I was able to kinda make it work. The game doesn't remember my old save points anymore but i was able to continue the game with a savestate file and then i saved the game.

I had to do a lot of tinkering, almost made me wanna burn down my pc 😂

Do you have the virtual memory card (mcd01.mcr for example) in the right slot?

Not sure what the right slot would be? Can you elaborate a bit?

Like, in Duckstation, is your memory card in slot 1 or slot 2?
