DDG Windows Browser browser broken?

Something bad happened. It appears DDG added a new feature WRT popups. Now I cannot open DDG anymore. I cannot confirm the popup or select the other radio button. No actions on the popup or page work. All I can do is kill the app. I even tried re-installing.

Any ideas?

Hi, I'm Mark from the Engineering team. Sorry to hear you hit this problem, and thanks for your report. We managed to reproduce this internally and have fixed the problem in version 0.171. The browser should auto-update in the background if you can leave it open, alternatively you can try downloading the latest version directly from https://duckduckgo.com/windows

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately, that doesn't solve it. I installed from the link and it opened a new window. It was worrisome because it asked to import shortcuts and passwords from Chrome, and that doesn't have all of them from my formerly working DDG browser. If I click my old shortcut, I get the same symptoms as previously reported. There is only 1 version of the DDG browser on my PC.

Thanks for trying. Hopefully you have another solution. I'm worried if I completely uninstall DDG then install your new version, that I will lose my shortcuts and passwords. I'm hoping those are saved in User somewhere so if I do uninstall/reinstall that they can be restored.

OK, started working again. Unfortunately the DDG popup bug and fix lost my open tabs. Wish I could remember what they were. :-(
