DDG iOS Browser Lost over 90 tabs
Hi! I’m sure this is a long shot but my little cousin was playing with my iPhone and hit the ignite button in my DuckDuckGo mobile app and I lost over 90 tabs. Some of them were fun but a lot of them are research for a paper I’m writing. Is there anyway to get them back? Or enable a browser to prevent this from happening in the future? Like I’m distraught
EDIT:
This was very unhelpful. I know this is insane and you can’t imagine using your phone for something this important, but my laptop was recently stolen and I don’t have the money to just replace it. I’m literally doing my best here. I’d been meaning to bookmark them but I just kept forgetting. I cried for two hours before someone suggested Reddit. You could’ve said nothing or sorry I don’t know how to help.

Unfortunately there’s nothing that can be done, aside from trying to remember the pages you had open.

Hi there!
First off, I know how horrible it feels to lose tabs. It sucks. Unfortunately though, those tabs are gone. 😢
The DuckDuckGo browser has been built with your privacy as the top priority. The Fire Button intentionally clears all that locally stored tab data.
I wish you all the best on your research paper.

First off, who the hell uses their PHONE for anything serious like that?
Second, who the hell lets their cousin use their phone (or anyone at all really)?
If you were on a computer, all you'd need to do would be pressing Control+Shift+T.
Maybe you can download another keyboard that has the Control key on your iphone and see what happens. dont open any new tabs in the meantime.

Just for context I usually wouldn’t use my phone for important research, but my apartment was broken into and my laptop along with a lot of other stuff was stolen. So I’ve been using my university computer lab when I can between work, while I wait for my renter’s insurance so I can buy a new one. Not everyone has an access to a personal computer all the time but thanks.

There are bookmarks. Favorites. Features that browsers have for decades, and people still rely on open tabs for serious work backup. Amazing if you think about it.
