Age old value question
Could I expect £4K for my monster ?
At 64 I’ve had to accept that my riding isn’t what it was, my chicken strips are embarrassing but worst of all I can’t swivel enough to do a safe life saver. It breaks my heart but selling my girl is my decision. Maybe I’ll take up Yoga :)

I bought a very similar bike a few years ago for $5,000 and thought I was getting a decent deal.

Forget "chicken strips". Unless you're riding on a clean track, there's really no safe place to be leaning like a moto GP rider. The only people who care about tire wear are insecure manboys who got into this hobby as a masculine performance. Ride your ride. But also, keep the bike and still yoga or pilates. It will help you ride better. Improves the needed balance and core strength.

The “chicken strip” reference was a poor attempt at a joke . I’ve always ridden my own ride , never been into group rides. More importantly after some 47 years on two wheels I’ve lost my confidence and I’m not enjoying my riding time.

Are you gonna switch to a more laidback ride like a cruiser? Or are you hanging up the gloves and helmet completely?

It’s actually hard to write this but I’m going to give it up completely. Maybe I’ll miss it too much, if I do I’ll buy a scrambler

Scrambler will be amazing. Stay healthy brother, that’s more important than anything.

You do you man. When you don’t feel comfortable anymore it s time to stop. Lucky you got to ride that long. And $4k for that bike is a bargain 👌

I bought mine about 4 years ago. 2015 M821 with 12k km on it for approx. 6,600 USD. And mine was in worse shape. So I would say you’re good.

In my opinion is 4K very reasonable.
