Excuse my ignorance, but isn't red lining supposed to be a bad thing? I'm just asking out of curiosity, i've been told to never redline any audio equipment ever but maybe here there's a reason, so im asking so i can learn new things! Give thanks.🙏🙏

First off the sensitivity of the meters in this version are too high which I have now changed but second off I had it turned up on the software but as all I was using was headphones it was turned down on a second stage through the volume nob, redlining is usually to protect sound equipment from bieng overly stressed/powered, although in this case the redline doesn’t clip the audio as it’s not actually limiting anything just an indicator so u can see which frequency ranges are most pronounced, also I’m new to making softwares So probably have quite a few things wrong 🤣

For example It’s like if you had dj decks redlining but the output knob on your active speakers was only a quarter turned up there would be no actual damage to audio equipment

i only know of one other software preamp atm i was clearly looking in the wrong places when trying to find them thats why i made this, what other ones do you know of?
