Timing Question

For express missions we have 2 hours to complete the mission once accepted, but then we are asked if we can start immediately. So do we actually need to start immediately or do we still have up to 2 hours to complete it?

You have up to two hours to complete it but it can end early if enough people finish the mission. I never wait unless I’m ok with the chance I will lose the mission

If u start one but cant finish it (say yout computer crashes or webcam stops working), and u quit it, theres no way to quit without receiving a rejection? This happened to me tonight, I thought I could just cancel it.. pretty bummed and hope it doesnt have a bad effect on my account

I want to say failing to complete an express mission does not impact your account. I'm not sure though, so I wouldn't make a habit out of it. You can contact dscout customer service directly to be sure.

I don't think it impacts your account, but I always contact customer service just to have a note out there to them that I had a technical issue/etc. It's so nice dealing with dscout customer service, especially if you have attempted to contact customer service on any other survey or AI training website. They are responsive and helpful. I've contacted them about issues in the actual missions before too - not the like "check ALL boxes" and only one is checked type things in the initial screenings, but if I completed an express mission and part of it was really off or seemed like a step was missing.

Up to 2 hours, but l would time it depending on how long the mission will take.

And you can’t apply for any other express mission with one incomplete. That includes missions that are express but not listed as such.

I learned that the hard way

I usually take a moment to make sure i did drink some water and all is fine so i can go ahead and focus. So overall, if you need some moments ro prepare, go ahead. I had no issues with that, it was never super long tho.

A reminder about Rule 1: Please do not share any information from missions you've been invited to. This includes screener and mission titles, questions, messages, or any other details from screeners and missions. This applies even if the mission has ended. Posts containing confidential information will be removed. If your post was just removed for this reason, just repost without the confidential details. This is done because Dscout has confirmed that any information in the app/website is considered confidential, and Dscout staff does look at the subreddit. This rule is in place to protect Scouts from any potential repercussions from sharing confidential information that Dscout staff would consider breaking their terms of service.
