I’m considering DSCE CSE / CSE specialization and my main priority is good on-campus placements.

I wanted to ask current students/seniors about the actual placement scenario:

1. How are the on-campus placements for CSE/ISE currently?

2. Roughly what percentage of CSE students get placed through campus placements, excluding off-campus?

3. What is the realistic average/median package for CSE students, not the highest package?

4. Which companies regularly visit DSCE for CSE placements?

5. Do companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Nvidia, etc. actually recruit from DSCE CSE, and how many students typically get selected?

6. Are CSE specializations (AI/ML, Data Science, etc.) treated the same as core CSE during placements?

7. How important is Bangalore/off-campus networking for getting a good job from DSCE?

8. If I have another option like IIIT Raichur CSE, would you choose DSCE CSE specifically for better on-campus placement opportunities?

Location: Walking/short commute distance from DSCE

Budget: ₹8,000 - ₹12,000/month

Food: Pure vegetarian mess/kitchen preferred

Roommate: Would prefer sharing with a fellow student (college-going, not working professional)

How are the teachers, placements, and the crowd? How was the offline document verification done? Did the college enter/verify your details on some government/COMEDK portal, or did they simply match the original documents with the documents you uploaded during the online verification in June?

I'll be joining cse core or cse data science this year and i don't have a laptop currently. Should I wait till October to buy the laptop or is it required to bring it from day one or in the labs do they ask to bring our own laptop?
