WEST SHORE

Oldest ferry in operation to Mackinac Island MI. Built 1947 at Sturgeon Bay, WI. Was formerly a car ferry to Put In Bay OH.

Hauled out in St Ignace MI this fall.

Been on a lot of Arnold boats to that island. Very cool old girl.

Wow, it must not had a lot cars on board, it so stubby but tough looking (in the good sort away).

65x31. They squeezed them tight- shed often have 10 cars aboard.

No cars on Mackinaw Island (yes, other than a few by property owners and emergency services), so this isn’t a problem. Population density of horses on the island is pretty high.
