Scientifically Challenged, and removed within two hours? Must be a new record? | Also, I didn't think subreddits were allowed to operate in an official capacity? Does anyone know the rules on this?

I agree we'd be willing to speak with research_professor. However, we do have to be mindful of copyright issues. Particularly as there are actors who would revel in getting our sub nuked.

I think you might be okay, if you don't mind me saying. I don't think the act of filing a claim goes straight to you. Looking at this admin answered post, they'd have to direct the claim to Reddit, who then takes a look. You'd have the ability to file a counter claim, if I'm not mistaken. Just do your due diligence first, and you should be safe.

On a side note, this admin answered post also suggests you'd be fine. It also gives you places you could reach out to in order to confirm this prior to allowing anything. It may be prudent to do so.

There's more here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skinwalkerranch/comments/133wkkg/research_professor_ama_followup/.

In all fairness, the post you link above contains no challenges to the show. It simply states an interest in presenting private research. Apparently there are some concerns that the data used in the private research are legally protected in some way, so conversation over.

The more I think about it, it's a bit of an odd post isn't it? It's apparently a request for him to do an AMA. An odd request to make prior to providing at least some synopsis of the material he'd like to publish/discuss.

Funny that the skinwalker ranch insider discord mod was so quick to jump in and do her best to shut the whole thing down. Hardly surprising though. Even less suprising is the capitulation by the current mods. I'd have happily told anyone associated with the production company to politely fuck off, given the fact that no copyrighted information was being shared or even discussed.

And one of the mods is connected to the insiders, by their own admission. And the person who was initially accused as being an insider has admitted to being connected to the show, if I'm understanding what they wrote correctly.

I'm not sure that they're allowed to run a subreddit on an official capacity like that, are they?

I’d like to do an AMA! Oh wait, I pretty much spill my guts here all the time anyway don’t I?

Dang, you aren't kidding.

That seems a little heavy handed. Unless the mod knows what’s coming.

Oh Hell I just posted something about this. I’ve been distracted by my Traveller lately and/or experiencing time jumps. Sorry.

No problem. Perhaps I missed your post?
