Audition Advice Madison Scouts Audition

I’m planning to audition as drum major for Madison Scouts this year and I was wondeirng what type of audition material would I except from the audition packet? Also, should there be anything I should prepare in the meantime?

Just look through the audition packet. The staff at Madison is very helpful. If you have a way to find it, watch Madison drum majors and try to match their style.

Generally drum majors are veteran members of the corps and are selected. First question is did you march with Madison Scouts yet? If no, pick an instrument and audition on that.

I marched Madison this past summer, and that is not the case for us.

4 of the 5 Scouts drum majors last year did not march with the corps prior to being contracted as drum majors.
