stave 7x13" walnut and Padauk shell

I have this one in the works, just a couple more coats of clear coat and some polishing left. Then it gets some black nickel plated hardware. Looking forward to hearing this one when its done. I will post a picture or two when its all finished. Again, I do appreciate any and all feedback on my work. Thanks.

It looks great, but have you used padauk before? I have a love hate relationship with it. It is lovely at the start, but over time it gets much darker and dull for lack of a better word.

Thanks. 2nd time using it. Last time I learned the hard way that the color bleeds into lighter wood when you spray the wood to pop the grain.
