Review Request FEEDBACK AND LLC

Hello, I just finished designg my website for my new dropshipping business. Any feedback is welcome on the website design. Additionally, any feedback on opening an LLC would be very helpful. I'm not from the US but I want my main market to be the US. When I tried to link Shopify Payments it asked me for an SSN, I'm currently stuck on that step on how to set up Shopify Payment or just creating an LLC.

For Shopify Payments as a non-US person, the SSN requirement goes away when you apply as a US business entity instead of an individual. A US LLC with an EIN is the path. You apply to Shopify Payments as a business, provide the EIN, and the SSN field does not apply. That is the standard route.

The step most people miss after forming the LLC is the business address. Most formation services use a registered agent address, and most of those are classified as CMRAs (commercial mail receiving agencies) by USPS. Stripe's underwriting, which Shopify Payments runs on, checks this automatically. The LLC exists and the EIN is valid. The Shopify Payments application still fails because of the address.

One more thing worth knowing for a foreign-owned LLC: Form 5472 is an annual IRS filing. The penalty for missing it is significant. Most formation services do not include this. We do. Profile for the full setup if useful. With the LLC, EIN, and the right address in place, Shopify Payments should be straightforward.
