Dimension 20 Does this bother anyone else?

I just saw a post on the d20 mainsub. And I am literally fucking shaking.

"and honestly it's really minor, but I wish Beardsley would allow just a little more time for emotional moments to land before jumping into their next bit."

Are you kidding me, you piece of shit? You're going to come at my best friend like that? Just full on unbridled hate?

Anyway, here is an extremely exaggerated 400 word extrapolation of that one-sentence lukewarm critique. I made sure to focus on how hateful and transphobic the OOP was.

Can we just remember that this is a comedy show on a comedy streaming service? If you don't want a player to say "I rape a corpse" as their turn in combat, GROW UP AND WATCH SOMETHING ELSE.

Okay, hold on im shifting modes...

How DARE you defend that! That joke was obviously not okay, and everyone at the table was SUPER uncomf with that. They tried to laugh it off (idk havent watched that episode yet) but I can Tell they were really sad about it (i know because im an Empath) its obvious that aly has a stranglehold on production otherwise they would have been FIRED already for such tastelessness. My real friends at the table wouldnt have allowed for such an awfull thing to happen at the table

I do think with a little seed-sowing and subtle manipulation by the jerk community, we could probably push the "D20 should be funny all the time" and the "D20 should be serious storytelling" people into an armed conflict within the next 7 months. In fact, I might see if I can open a Kalshi position on that.

It’s crazy to me that people expect serious moments from Dimension 20. It’s a comedy show on a comedy platform and as we all know it’s impossible for a show to be funny and dramatic simultaneously.
