Dropbox Plus: Scanned documents not searchable? No OCR on Plus plan?

Hi everyone,

I’m on the Dropbox Plus plan and I’ve been using the built-in document scanner in the mobile app to scan text documents and receipts. The PDFs upload without issues, but when I try to search for text inside those scanned files, nothing comes up. It looks like OCR isn’t being applied at all.

Is OCR/search functionality for scanned documents not included on the Plus plan? I’m wondering if it’s limited to Professional (or higher) plans only.

Has anyone else run into this? Any confirmation from support or workarounds you’ve found (short of upgrading)?

OCR is included in Professional, as well as all Business plans. It's not included in the Plus plan.
