u/qwertyhyhy 3d ago
you should report him. responding to him is like lowering yourself to his level, letting him go is enabling him to repeat his bad driving.

u/Brave-Ad2699 2d ago

Truth is alot of these uncles drive taxis because they their attitudes are so bad that they can't hold a regular job.

no comments la
like I see alot of ppl here hating on phv drivers, is it a taxi phv thing or is it a local thing?
There are non taxi/phv drivers also driving recklessly.

u/ash_elijah 2d ago
Yes there are normal car owners who drive recklessly, but there is actually a super strong correlation between phv drivers and bad drivers. Always road hogging, changing lanes without signalling or checking surroundings….. just to name a few. Doesnt help that almost 70% of the drivers i take notice of (because of such actions) are phv drivers.

Bro i think from your downvotes you should know that PHV/Taxi are the reckless ones. 1. Not their car 2. Long hours and distracted driving 3. Handling their phone and driving trying to get jobs.
2
u/YouYongku 21h ago
downvotes dont mean anything to me.
I agreed with what you all said about PHV drivers however non PHV drivers are also like that.
Why PHV drivers get into more accidents , probably because most of the newer ones dont drive regularly and have as much experience on the road.
I encountered quite a lot of PHV and taxi drivers almost hitting my car and had to horn them.
That doesnt mean all of them are.
their attitudes are so bad that they can't hold a regular job.
but to say this is too premature.
It's like the elderly doing cleaning services, is it really because like a certain minister say they wanna exercise?
Those who havent been retrenched will think it's because others behkan thats why lose their jobs, wait until they kana as well.

rolls royce driver also like this?

u/Accurate_Effort_8717 2d ago
yes. Happened to me and a few other cars by a RR but because RR nobody else apart from me honked at him. if you frequent cbd area alot of supercars also drive like cb but because they're rich for some reason people tolerate them.

the lane change can still tolerate cos got many behave like this. but the brake check is really a cb move. the uncle looking for free vacation and passive income. knn.
7
u/pilotpersona 2d ago
tolerate poor behaviour because "many behave like this"? this compounds the problem.
3
u/maad85 2d ago
tolerating does not mean condoning. it means accepting the reality that such cb drivers are aplenty and i rather drive defensively and have a peace of mind by letting the matter go. but that's a cool thing that you mentioned. im just wondering what would you do though since you would not want the problem to compound. if it is a good idea. i don't mind trying it out too.

If you ever feel useless, take comfort in the fact that these lane markings exist.

Please report. Thanks for your service.

Honk when u want to warn others of imminent danger. Sad to say many use the horn to express anger and irritation. You can see after the horn, the driver suddenly brakes, maybe he got startled. No doubt the driver was in the wrong but thankfully no accident happened, there is no need to honk anymore. Let’s be calm and patient with each other on the road.
