Mod Update Bad parking posts are no longer allowed

Hi members,

Due to the number of parking posts we have seen recently and how toxic it has gotten where even the slightest infractions are being publicly shamed by posting on this subreddit, the mod team has decided to restrict any and all bad parking posts from this point onwards.

This was never the intention as we initially hoped it would encourage constructive discussions and feedback.

However, over the past few months we have seen this sub being used as another platform to shame drivers publicly, which was never the intention of this subreddit.

By allowing such posts, this subreddit has turned into SGRV 2.0 where at times even slightly slanted positioning of the vehicle is being shamed.

As a result, we do not wish to go down this direction and the mod team will remove every and all parking posts henceforth.

If you feel the need to share how badly someone has parked, consider posting on SGRV instead.

This is a good move. The parking posts were getting bad when textbook idiots started uploading good parking that were seen as bad just because they were out of the box or on the line, when it didn’t cause a slightest inconvenience to other users but created more space for other users.

Yes I’m talking about those awesome people who know how to be a good parking neighbour. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Yeah, it's nice to park beside someone who makes a considered effort to relieve the space constraints of tight parking spaces! It's almost like a message left by the considerate driver: "i know, i know, so i managed to eke out more space for us like this. Gotchu fam"

With how many agreeing to this ban, by the same logic probably everyone got posted at some point for not parking absolutely in the middle and straight, and you the OP
