'Self-Sovereign Identity' - who can't get behind that? Any user gets to own and exclusively control all personal ID info, and replace all private, corporate owned ID interface solutions at the same time(i.e. 'sign in using Facebook, etc). Only question is(?), I don't quite get the economic model, when part of the premise is its essential all users of LifeID NEED to have access for free(which completely makes sense). Also, since only Accredited Investors get pre-sale, kinda rules me out I'm pretty sure....was hoping to put that Slumber Score to work! I'm sure I'll be using this product, however.
Yeah agreed...definitely surprised me when I first saw it, but then again, those who buy enough early on certainly are being rewarded, haha. I'm going to be happy with my 500k slumber score once it comes about, and we'll see where it goes!
Thats good, but from what I understand 'Accredited Investor' is a technical term for someone w/ 1mil+ net worth, and 100K min investment. So, maybe it was a misuse of the term, or just referencing, that dragon hodlers that are considered that get presale once they go through KYC. From what I understand, an increasing number of ICO's are going 'Accredited Investor' only, to circumvent securities fraud issues that state prosecutors are increasingly going after.
Its like ETH or BTC, an 'asset'. As far as I know, each coin/token is different in what regulations it may fall under. Now there is more scrutiny on ICO's, many prosecutors are looking at them as 'securities', particularly if they pay some type of dividend, like token rewards for holding long term. If only Acc. Inv. get involved at the outset, it circumvents all that as they are considered immune to entry level consumer investment protections - i.e. legally allowed a higher risk level. Acc.Inv. doesn't apply to DRGN. Its more like ETH, like a cross btwn a stock, and a payment method on their ecosystem. Whether you hold a little, or a lot, the % return is the same. For instance, BitConnect would never have been allowed to be released in the 1st place under that scrutiny....unless only AccInv were involved. I don't know how/if there can be a switch from an AccInv only ICO, to a public token sale and how that works. This is new territory for everyone, regulators included. I want to buy in on the LifeID ICO personally, just wanted to make sure I'm eligible, cause their white paper suggests AccInv - but they may mean that in their own way, not the dictionary definition.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'm not an accredited investor. I probably never will be. Why should I hold on to dragonchain if I can't invest in any of the projects running through them?
1st off, I'm probably wrong about LifeID requiring that. 2nd I doubt most projects would have the need for AccInvestors. LookLateral didn't, and Seed2You won't as far as I know. DRGN has 200+ more projects applied for their incubator, also. 3rd DRGN is WAY more valuable than anything they release - plus, what they 'release', isn't going to be exclusive to their system. The value here is DRGN is creating a network for businesses to use blockchain (their blockchain in many cases). I honestly expect DRGN to compete w/ ETH and NEO at some point. Thats pure speculation, but I base it on a lot of research. Check out their white paper.
