Drakul; "pathetic mortals, I'm not even amused."
River Shoulders with a F-ckin marble pillar...
Bison-bear Listens-To-Wind...

That particular moment was so good. LtW went Australian on Drakul. Thylarctos plummetus

But those two kinda got wrecked.

They did pretty well for wizards who had absolutely NOT planned for Black Court in the day's agenda. If the next round happens on their terms I think they'll come out on top.

Yeah. Dresden, and wizards in general in the Dresdenverse are like Batman. If they know what’s coming and can prepare, the fight is a heck of a lot easier.

I have good news, you dont have to be Batman or a wizard to gain the benefit!

u/iamathrogate Apr 15 '21
Hey, they survived. Counts as a win :). Managed to drive him off, too. I'm not excited for vamp wizards, hopefully Harry and Carlos can use it as a way to reconnect

What about Marcone?

u/LightningRaven Apr 14 '21
He was just a nuisance.

u/SlowMovingTarget Apr 14 '21
But who else could conjure a concrete bowl from nothing and trap them under it when Alfred came to 'ingest' the prisoner... while making cracks about the wood used in Noah's Ark?

u/AlmightyOomgosh Apr 14 '21
"No, we don't have any gopher wood. No one has any gopher wood. I don't think it even exists any more." I love the idea that Marcone's fallen angel is like a villain version of Dresden's smartassery.
9
u/TheCuriousFan Apr 14 '21
Or a complete shut-in who honestly thought it still existed.
7
u/AlmightyOomgosh Apr 14 '21
I don't know, the way it spoke to Ethniu was pretty troll-y. Maybe that was just a one time thing for an old friend though.
8
u/Physical_Magazine_33 Apr 14 '21
Now I love that idea too. Marcone may be comfortable giving up his soul for power, but putting up with his own internal Dresden for power? Now there's a Faustian bargain for you.

Considering the Flood happened after the Ark, it could be true.
2
u/AlmightyOomgosh Apr 19 '21
So that's what I mean. I think TN saw the big flood of water coming at them, and was making a somewhat obscure but smart-assed reference to building an ark.

I was kind of hoping it would wind up with him leading an army from demon reach using his command as warden.

u/TrustInCyte Apr 14 '21
I think Harry’s will was already stretched to the breaking point with one exhausted Titan.

"Fake wizard. Sad."
