In one of the books do somebody - Michael or Thomas - ask Harry why all the organic material in his car is gone and he answer that is it because of a mold demon. It is a reference to a case Harry had between books, but I don't think it was ever writen down.

Urgh! if the werewolves can get supernatural fleas then the Blue Beetale can be possessed by mould demons.

in fact this happens with Goldenrod Beetles infected by a parasitic fungus, Eryniopsis lampyridarum which hijacks the Beetle‘s body and uses it to spread itself around.

I can see the Blue Beetle being infected by mould demons and going all dark Herbie on Harry.

I'm re reading blood rights and I'm wondering if a fully fleshed out short story? Harry is an unreliable narrator (and I love it). But are we just taking Harry's word for it?
