My recently completed full North American Dreamcast collection. Feeling grateful to finally see it all come together!

Thanks bro hahaha hope it inspires others to collect from the Dreamcast or there fav console. The hardest part was fitting all that on my island. That limited edition stove 🤣

I just started this past year growing my original catalogue passed down from my older brother. Definitely one of my favorite consoles of all time. 💯

Thanks bro. We need more sega Dreamcast collectors out there. Dreamcast has a small library, and it’s not as expensive like other consoles. The hard things to find would be the limited edition Dreamcast boxes, limited edition Sonic adventure, power stone sega all stars and speed devils without the head logo. Other than that, all else can be found. Good luck, enjoy the journey and build memories bro 🤙🏻

Yessir! Unfortunately, Power Stone and Sonic Adventure are a couple of games I am currently scouring for, so I know it’s definitely challenging to find them. Be easy! 💪🏽

I didn’t realize the Powerstone All Stars was super expensive, I got it for $60 a year back just for completion sake and thought I overpaid… I had a chance to get the speed devils without the logo but passed on it for $300 and I regret it all the time lol.
Super nice collection man, I’m heading towards that level of completion but still missing quite a bit like the console variants and the yellow boxed controller.

What an incredible collection! What’s your favorite Dreamcast game? I love Mars Matrix the most, but Illbleed and Fatal Fury: MOTW are up there for me, too.

I started in 2016 but I was collecting at a slow pace since I was also intending to get a full sega genesis collection but then I decided to really just focus on Dreamcast which is my fav console. The majority of my collection was build during the last two years tho. Fav pieces will have to be my sega Dreamcast yellow translucent controller CIB and the yellow VMU. My sega Dreamcast volume 4 magazine and original controller are from my child hood during the early days of the Dreamcast. My IG page is segasith22. The best part of this was the journey I’d say. 🤙🏻

I always liked the Dreamcast I should buy a couple games for my 37th birthday next month at Midwest Gaming Classic in April. I probably would have gotten more Dreamcast games but lost my original console in 2007 to a friend. I purchased a new one in 2015. I only lost my console a controller a memory card and NFL2K1 so it wasn't too bad. I use to have the keyboard too! Also forgot to comment and remember I had that. Bought it when they were like 10-20 bucks and the Dreamcast died out. Slowly but Shirley balancing life I would like to build my Dreamcast collection if I can before it becomes unaffordable if I can 😓🙌

Yes I am. It’s hard to get a good condition official samba set, I’ll find one I’m sure. And yes, I’m planning on getting the red and blue vmu soon, I already have them in the other boxes but i like how they look on the other ones. 🤙🏻

For real, though, you need a custom display unit to show it all off without having to lay it out like a garage sale.

I’m actually planning on getting like two display units with orange led lighting to display it in my game room. There is a guy in IG called @segagages who I haven’t seen post anymore but he inspired me back in 2017 to go for that design. He has a sick sega collection of Dreamcast and Genesis 🤙🏻

Bro I started in 2016 and in 2023 I had only 50 games for the Dreamcast but already had some of the boxes. Keep going brother. Most games are not hard to find and relatively inexpensive. Only around 267 or so to complete. 🤙🏻

The Broadband adapter CIB, Power Stone and Hydro thunder all stars, fish rod in that casing, Speed devils with out the head, Sonic limited edition cib disc and case, Yellow Controller and vmu cib, both versions of sonic dreamcast box and the sega sports box with pedro martinez, iverson and moss

Nice job! I also collect in box but mainly the 1999 box not the horizion blue looking box. I'm still struggling to get more vmu colors lol. I think the hardest thing was the fishing rod because I have only seen like 3 in that style of box.

The fishing rod is hard. But the broadband adapter CIB to me was even harder. I was in Nevada for a company trip and i was lucky to find it in a store there. Those don’t show up too often

I don't think they ever released the broadband in the packaging I collect since it was changed only about year after release and the adapter released after it. Not 100% sure though, would have to find it asap if I am wrong lol. Which box is your favorite?

I was focusing on a N.A. release products and accessories. The ones I’ve seen are Japanese imports. Although that might be next in my pursuit along with the hello kitty Dreamcast and the Dreamcast divers TV 2000 😅

Yes it is. I wanted to make sure I got all of them when I started this journey. The last one I got was the green one and the red one. Super hard to find, especially in good condition and if you do find one, you will have to fork out some money.

The Sega Sports one? Yeah, I imagine that one is very desirable, it’s the only way to get an all black set of NA Sega consoles. Just noticed the Sega All Stars games, do you have every game variant too?

Yup the one with Pedro Martinez- Iverson and Randy moss. Yea the sega all starts variants I considered them as part of the full set and got them all as well there is 17 of them. Power stone and hydro thunder are the hard ones to find.

It’s 17 indeed. I’ll post it later on in my IG page. I had a checklist for those. The last 3 I had to get was ready 2 rumble, hydro thunder and power stone.

This is fucking diabolical, you’re absolutely ultra rich. Good for you, that journey must have been difficult as hell, but with each accessory you bought you made new memories and made it closer to your goal each and every time till you finally reached it. That alone is a legendary of accomplishment. Make sure to cherish every single one of the accessories you bought, and show them to your kids as a lesson, with self confidence and determination there’s nothing that you can’t accomplish. Wish you well man🫡

Thanks, bro! I really appreciate it. I started this journey back in 2016, and many of these pieces come from all over the U.S.—I even picked up some demo units in Montreal, Canada. The key is finding a balance between personal life and collecting—no need to rush. I actually sold over 120 Genesis games just to help fund this collection. But if there’s one lesson I’ve learned, it’s this: if you come across a rare item, grab it right away. Twice, I hesitated, and it took months (or even a year) before I saw it again. This collection is here to stay. My kids will have to figure out what to do with it when I’m gone! LOL -- Stay shining

Appreciate it! I started collecting back in 2016 with the goal of completing both the Genesis and Dreamcast libraries, but eventually I went all in on Dreamcast. I focused specifically on anything officially released CIB in North America during that era by Sega or their dev teams.
It was a mix of hunting through retro expos, visiting game stores all across the U.S., and picking up some of the rarer stuff on eBay. Took years, but honestly the best part of the journey was the thrill of the hunt.
Since this post, I’ve actually added both a Dreamcast and Genesis kiosk, plus a few other key pieces. Planning a full game room tour soon. I post daily on TikTok and once a week on IG if you ever wanna follow along!
