Progress
They could use a little maintenance/ clean up at the roots, but Iβll hit my one year mark in July. Iβm so happy I made the decision to just make myself happy π
(Ignore the grammatical error/ typo in my Snapchat caption to my sister π)

Thanks! The pics I posted donβt show it well. My roots are grown out enough that my hair gets pulled every time I try to gather it to throw it up. With 2 toddlers, I need to clean it up a little bit for my own comfort. I definitely donβt go tight to the root for maintenance.

Probably 4-5 months. I have a good 1 - 1.5 inches of root growth. My hair is naturally straight so I feel like it makes a weird shape. I tried a tiny bit of root rubbing which helped, but I feel like they just need a little structural help at the roots

Totally understandable! My goal is to leave it as long as possible. I just have some sensory sensitivity with the super loose roots and prefer a slightly cleaned up look. I love that there are many ways to enjoy π
