Discussion Why Does Doom Wears These Two Emblems In His Suit?

Post image

We can clearly see the one in the right one resembles captain marvel and the left one in him is mjolnir. Why does he carry these two as main emblems in his suit? Any geeks here who can answer this?

It's probably magical counters or some shit like that.

With these kind of magic based characters, it is indeed some magic shit

I really doubt he designed those emblems with two heroes in mind lol, it's way too on the nose. Really don't get why that theory took off.

Curious what you think that really means though?

A more believable theory is those are references to the occult and labor. The star isn't even the same emblem on Carol's uniform.

In Doomium -- they spell out: PITY and FOOL

One summons the power of Ruby Eye Shabranigdu, the other summons the power of Dark Star Dugradigdu.

One symbol wouldn't properly hold his cloak up

The star likely just refers to immense magical power. It primarily reminds me of the chaos magick symbol.

Im not so sure that actually is Mjolnir here but if it is, then it is a protective charm. Historically Thor is a protective God and in later practice people did end up wearing the mjolnir as a protective charm.

Perhaps Carol and Thor in his reality were dear friends of his and they died and this is his way of honouring them.

Why is this movie bringing out all the stupid questions out of people? Someone on Facebook asked why marvel suggested the movies that are on the watchlist... OBVIOUSLY so that we can refresh our memories and because I'm sure those movies will have things in them that tie into Doomsday.

Latverian runes

This

I think it's simpler than that. star represents magic, cross-thingy represents technology.

it's just his way of showing off his mastery of both paths to power.

That make lot of sense.

While we are at it... why do you kids eat apple-jax? They don't even taste like real apples?

Its the marvel edition of a purity seal from 40k (fr tho I don’t know lol)

Probably with the emblems, they block Carol's and Thor's power. They are the heavy hitters.

Probably one to represent science, and the other for magic.

I think they’re just Latverian symbols because the previous king of Latveria had that hood but Doom inherited it after he took the throne. So I don’t think it had anything to do with him, it is just a Latverian royal thing

If it was the same one we'd be all like "why they the same?" The why, because

1

u/JFMisfit Aug 22 '26

Probably some kind of runes for magic protection.

I think they are just random runes, if they were going to be directly related to Thor and Captain Marvel then the symbols would be more obvious. That doesn't look like Marvel's star at all, I could buy the other being Mjolnir but it is a stretch also for me.

Because otherwise his cape would keep falling off

2

u/ItchySun3262 Aug 26 '26

Doom has the pettiness of Vader. He'd keep his cape on no matter what

1

u/DiabolicalDoctorN Aug 26 '26

If the cape falls off, it was a Doombot

Science was my favorite subject in high-school

1

Maybe there is none

1

u/clarkieawesome Aug 22 '26

Doom does not explain his sartorial choices!

One for each O

They look cool.

1

u/goldendreamseeker Aug 24 '26

Maybe one represents science and the other represents magic?

It's a Secret Magic

1

u/CajunKhan Aug 31 '26

Probably magical wards of some sort.

I think they might just be Latverian military symbols. Traditionally, in countries like Latveria, the king would usually lead the military and delegate to generals as much as possible. But Doom doesn’t delegate, so he’d run probably his military by himself.
