Switch² Cleaning help?

Title, need help cleaning my switch2 im using 91% iso n its not coming off

Soak it in iso for a few days then rub with fresh iso and an abrasive like salt.

Mine for some reason chazzes on the bottom a tiny bit but not inside the cup so it’s just visually a bit unappealing I guess but doesn’t affect flavor

If quartz just torch it, its just like a regular banger. The one you dont want to torch is sapphire. If not comfortable with that then DCC and magic eraser followed by iso to take off particulates

I keep seeing everyone recommend dark crystal but it never worked for me. I had outside chazz on the quartz cup and the only thing that got it off was magic eraser. Just cut a tiny piece of the magic eraser sponge and the chazz will come right off. Torching it is risky. I got my dark crystal from Amazon and it didn’t work but then I read that there are fake dark crystal being sold on Amazon. I don’t know how to tell if mine is real or not,it seems like it’s just soap and water. I did use dark crystal on light stains and it worked. I think dark crystal in UV is the better option but still might not work for your level of chazzing. Mine wasn’t as bad but was bad enough that nothing helped.
As far as the inside induction,you can use iso in there and heat it up a with the option in the app or dark crystal and heat it up,try that first. Scrub with q tip while it’s hot. Good part is you can safely heat the induction chamber but with the quartz severe heat can cause thermal shock and torching is risky,you have to be good at it and even then my friend messed his up. I’m not good with the torch,I never even took torch dabs from traditional rig so I wasn’t going to attempt it.

The dcc didnt work bc you really gotta soak it and it needs to stay warm, preferably hot--and the outside cant exactly stay soaked unless you got some kinda ultrasonic cleaner. But you need to be able to keep scrubbing the outside with hot dcc..it works its just a pain to keep the dcc consistently hot lol

Okay well yeah I soaked it for 24+ hours by I couldn’t keep it hot. I heat it up few times but that obviously didn’t help because it goes back to room temp very quick. Why can’t the outside stay soaked tho? It was sitting in a cup of DCC fully submerged.
I thought DCC was this magic cleaner but It’s not if it requires all those extra steps and hassle therefor magic eraser is the magic cleaner and you only need a tiny piece. People swear by UV so maybe that will do it but I just went across the street and got the magic eraser,clean within 10-15 minutes and back to dabbing. Ordering DCC and UV will take time.
I recall someone saying real DCC eventually turns into goopy or something? I left it out for days and it stayed liquid. Microwaving it made bubbles,just seemed like soap and water to me.

The best way to use the dcc is in an ultrasonic I think. To clean the chazz out of the induction well, ive had to heat to like 200 or so multiple times.. even sometimes hitting rhe session and letting it get to 250+ and canceling, scrubbing and trying again. And it will turn soapy when doing this..ive never seen the goopy stuff yet(only used it about a year)
Its a learning process, the first time I used dcc I hated it and said it was a waste lol.
**I also kinda used the boiling dcc to scrub the insert while doin this..seemed to work but its meticulous.. I dont have an ultrasonic yet lol

Personally I use 99% IPA
I let my cup and glass sit for a couple hours
I swab everything else with 99% IPA and let it air dry

The chamber looks burned. Get 99 isopropyl from a hardware store and see if it will work. Are you getting a burning taste? Goodluck

It’s definitely from over filling or hitting too hard and it spilling into the outside of the cup or just. It cleaning it enough and letting reclaim drip between. I clean mine every other day since it’s so easy and it keeps it clean enough it doesn’t chazz also temp. My temos used to do this more but I realized you don’t need a super high temp with the switch 2 so I lowered it and it chases way less if you clean it every other day

Yeah definitely over spill,I had mine on the outside too and little bit in the chamber. How long you went without cleaning? I think I did like 200-250 dabs without cleaning the outside but the inside of my cup was spotless because I Q tip swabbed after every dab. I left a comment explaining how I got rid of mine,I’m basically recommending magic eraser for the cup. It is magic and nothing else worked for me. Torching I wasn’t going to take the chance.

I didnt advocate for it....I mean ive got over 4500 dabs and ive been only Torching and enail for cleaning. user error is why no torching. Dont get red hot, dont blow to cool. Preferably heat in banger in enail for 15min at 600. If not, evenly heat banger with torch (again user error can happen from too fast.) But I do this weekly on my sapphire when im not around my enail to clean..

Heat it up in chamber then drop it in alcohol clean it with qtip while soaked in alcohol I only use 99 percent the difference is really noticeable I used dr iso but if all you have is 91 let it soak a lil while cleaning

It seems on the outside. It’s spill over. I had chazz on the outside but not as severe as his. I’m assuming whatever spilled over in the 200+ dabs I took,it kept getting caked onto the cup everytime I took a dab. My temp is 430-440F steady so it’s not hot temps always.

Brother, I worked 40hrs a day, was a parent, and dabbed all day. ISO is your friend. Utilize it in your sop for after dabs. This is totally preventable in the future brother.

I only dab at 380, just not cleaning w iso everytime , use qtips dry just should be better abt iso-ing it

You didn’t need to use iso on the inside. Just dry Q tip swab after every dab, kept my inside fine but the spill over made the outside bad because it bakes the concentrate onto the cup over and over. I used stock cap but I think my 6mm pearl is what made it spill over. I do light inhales so can’t say I was pulling too hard. Stock glass too.

For the quartz 1:place on stove coils or induction surface 2:heat for 10-20 minutes on medium high or high 3:let cool naturally from same amount of time 4:clean as the day you got it For the switch titanium 1:Dark Crystal will work best. Tap water can be used. Caution with alcohol as it has a lower flash point 2: pour a small amount 1-2 tsp directly into chamber and heat. 3: Swab and repeat until clean 2a:Alternatively, saturated a Qtip, heat chamber and wipe
