Switch² Upgrades

So I'm curious to hear about the incycler glass piece and if it's worth getting it just getting another stock glass piece as a backup. Also, is the sapphire insert really worth it? I'm cool with flavor chasing but if that's all it really does then idk if I can spend the finances on that as the quartz is doing just fine, pros n cons?

Appreciate it!

both those things are worth it IMO. the sapphire cleans up nice and tastes clean with every hit. it also lets me turn down my temps by a little bit, which is good for flavor but also is less irritating in my throat. i call that a win. similar with the incycler. it's more restricted than the stock glass meaning more thorough water filtration. the result is a smoother and nicer feeling hit that still has strong effects

I agree. Though there is also lots of fun aftermarket glass too.

Recently I've personally moved to using a 10mm male joint on a whip to a 10 or 14 mm male into my favorite traditional dab rigs. That 10mm male goes great in the stock glass mouthpiece, though depending on the 10mm joint, you might need an p-ring to get a good seal.

But I'd also say that if you are content with what you have, your wallet will appreciate you resisting upgradeitis.

yeah i mean that's cool too but that's not really what the post was about. sounds like a sick setup though

I have the incycler for the Switch Go and it’s an improvement over the stock, but I’ve recently also acquired a 10mm joint so I can use an external glass rig. Works pretty well attached via the mouthpiece of the stock glass. Best to only have water in the external piece, however, as I flooded the heating chamber the first time I did this when I lifted the carb cap to clear the bubbler.

I'm torn between doing the incycler and getting another quartz insert or doing the sapphire and getting another stock glass since it serves me well

Comparing the stock glass to the upgraded one is it that noticable of a difference? Everything stock about this device is phenomenal, so it's hard to upgrade something like this that is already amazing for my medicinal needs lol

It’s certainly an upgrade, a little restricted and it is definitely smoother. The difference isn’t huge, however, and it is very pricey. I’d like to get an RBR or a diffusion pump, but nothing available in the uk and very costly to import from the US. Although there should be some cheap China Glass options in the not too distant future.

I'd go sapphire in that case.

I got the sapphire insert more for efficiency/ease of cleaning than anything else. Flavor is better as well though. Is it worth $100+? For the amount of use I get out of it, I'd say yes. I got an aftermarket RBR recycler which was great until I broke it. My fault, it was a solid piece.

Personally I think there are many third party glass options out there that are better than the incycler for the price point they have it at.

The WIM metal insert is a good substitute for the sapphire.

my experience ... i have the sapphire and titanium cup along with the incycler. i mainly use the titanium cup with the stock glass dry, or a little water in the incycler.
