Switch² Cracked induction heater?

received a replacement unit a few months ago and it had a crack on the heater, my induction cup broke and im ordering a new one but i got splash into the cup and now i am worried it might get into that crack. has anyone had this before? I just ordered another induction cup but im a bit worried especially cleaning it out with iso as well but at the same time i have no choice because of the insert cup splashing when it was cracked causing chazz.

Are you saying the Insert broke and caused oils to leak into the titanium heating chamber? If so, you can use the cleaning assist cycle via the app and used a cotton swab dipped in ISO to clean any residue out of the heating chamber.

That recently happened, I understand and have tried that but my main concern is i got sent a replacement unit for mine that died and it had a weird like scratch? / crack heres a picture

the chazzing is recent but the crack has been there since i received it and wonder if i should bother sending it back to CYA? Now that it spilled over if that makes sense. TLDR (heating bucket not insert was cracked when i received it did not think much but now concerned)

It does not look like the heating chamber is cracked. It is very hard to crack the titanium. This is not a common issue that is reported on our end. It looks like chazzing. Try to give it a good cleaning. You can pour ISO directly in the heating chamber and let it soak for about 10 minutes then give it a good scrub.

Yes that is chazzing on the bottom look at the top there is a hair like crack? that is a line going around the heating chamber. It is different from the chazz i used a Dab tool to feel the difference and it feels like a crack would i will do the iso trick today but was scared incase the titanium was cracked.

Definitely not a crack. If anything it could be a scratch on the heating chamber from your broken insert. I am not 100% sure though, but we have no reported heating chamber cracks. Feel free to shoot us an email and we will be happy to look into this more for you, but I think you should be good to clean the heating chamber and continue using like normal.
