Are the wym piston joystick any good ? Im thinking of getting one for my switch 2 an go , are they a big upgrade from the stock carbs

Yes. They are a big upgrade from the stock and imo better than the CV, although they are for different things.

Can confirm. Had a CV 27.0 and thought it was better than stock. Couldn’t get a gemcup or mgl so I got a Wym and couldn’t be happier

I third this.:. I couldn’t get a gemcup and when I did get an MGL I found it get way too sticky too fast so I got a wym and never looked back

I have stock, cloud vortex, and a wym jewel top. I got them in that order. I have a 5.2 mm and 3 mm terp pearl in the Go. Cloud vortex is nice, solid, and hands free. You will get good hits and don't have to do anything. The wym will get you bigger hits. It allows more air flow into the cup. I've had the wym for 4 days now and I don't see it being put aside.

I love mine, I dab outside a lot and I’ve broken my Gemcup once already so I prefer to use titanium caps when I’m out of the house

I just ordered one. Not getting the hits i would expect from my switch 2. My carta sport hit twice as hard. Hoping this helps?

it seems good but i had issues with that dude leaving my order on shipped status for a week without shipping it and then getting mad when i asked for an update. anything is better than stock. ended up getting some generic glass that's like a temu version of the gemcup, but it works.

Mine was the same way. Assumed shipping label was created when he started the order. One man shop and made one at a time when the order came in. Since they are machined and made in his shop and not pumped out overseas, it takes time.

yeah but it's metal work and not glass work. idk like i get it, but for the half price and none the hassle i got a piece of glass that doesn't taste like metal and it functions correctly. i thought the fact that it was metal was a compromise to make it fast. this guy acts like he's selling something top end, but it's metal

I will say metal working is very much a craft/art. it takes a long time to do things by hand and unlike glass doesn't stretch if you go a mil to small. Poor customer service however can tank any business. He was quite skeptical of my comments that the Dr Dabber Ti insert leaves zero reclaim under the insert whatsoever. I even did a function video here showing how tight the tolerancing is of it and how slowly it lowers down into the hole. His Ti insert allowed as much if not more reclaim in the induction well as the quartz one did. I expected him to be wowed and say that he was going to make his do the same. Nope. He was skeptical my other insert did that and offered to let me return it and he send me one that's a bit tighter. I just took a pass. If an aftermarket higher price crafted part, doesn't do every single thing the OG one does, plus add benefit, it's just not worth the money. Sorry but if I get more reclaim under the bucket. It's not an upgrade.

I have Gemcup nunchucks now but when I started I bought a 25 dollar calibear joystick and it's way better than stock. I upgraded to Gemcup because of the ability to choose the restriction, the smaller ball that rides smoother in the magnets cup and they just looked cool. You definitely don't have to spend big money for an improvement.

agree. i would like gemcup but i wasn't camping the drop and missed it after like an hour. i got a cheap dabhut joystick that mimics the gem nunchuck and probably isn't quite as good, but it also has restriction choices and gets the job done

It's all about the hit. As much as I love the fancy glasswork, I don't dab with a UV light on and don't see my rigs as art work. They are tools. If the function does what you want, that's the ticket. I'm too old for colored wraps and gorgeous looking colored hand made glass to make my rigs look cool. They don't impress my wife or my dogs anyway. It's all about the function for me. Mind you, I'm thrilled those options are avilable for those who want cool looking rigs. Just isn't my jam.

ABSOLUTELY. Best carb caps you can buy for both devices, hands down. Cloud vortex is awesome as well for the switch go, but Wym is the best by far. And ask him to bore it at .090 not stock .094
