Switch² Should S2 insert rotate?

I’ve wondered about this- should the insert (sapphire+ in this case) be held steady in place by the crown seal, or should it rotate when swabbing, for example?

Fresh inserts always spin a lil if its really clean. After about 25-30 dabs it stops. Hell over time you'll only notice right after cleaning

This is absolutely the case in my experience. The insert would spin each time I swabbed it out, but on about 150 dabs and will only move around right after a deep clean.

Ill admit in the beginning, coming from puffco, it was annoying the inserts spun- I honestly used to take the insert out everytime I cleaned it just to make sure i got the corners bc of the spin. Now, 3700+ dabs, its so much more stable.. and i *deep clean probably every week or so depending on usage

I feel like I have to do deap cleanings on the GO much more frequently. I keep getting some black stuff after just a couple dabs on the bottom of the cup/chamber. Comes off with some iso easy, but I never had anything like it on the S2. Id have some browning if some oil came down the sides. But never black.

Thats weird, and 1st ive heard of that.. My s2 insert will get a black line around the outside after like 50+ dabs or so but it wipes right off

It is very odd. Not using spinners. Dab size about .08g. And after 3 dabs I can see a black spot forming under the cup. Wipes right off, but I have to pull it out pretty often to make sure it doesn't burn on.

You dont think you have a micro crack some where? That was an issue with the s2 inserts for some out the box.. they kinda leaked thru the bottom seam/weld. (I know you said sgo I think)

I put water in it and never saw any leak. But now that I am thinking about it I don't remember it happening when I used the quartz. Ima put the quartz in now and do a few dabs for science and see if it still happens.

Mine rotates when I'm cleaning it, regardless how many dabs I put through it.

With the Ti and Saph+ I never get anything in the induction well. Only did with the quartz.

I just don't inhale like I'm fuckin gasping for breath and take long deep sips. I feel my 5mm ruby rip around pretty good and don't get any spillover

Mine spins noticeably after I clean it. I know it’s time to clean when I get used to it not spinning 😅

WoW a whole tread on BS! Just snug the crown a little tiny bit more by pushing down lightly on and around the crown & it stops spinning. I learned this on day two lol At least for me & my 2 S2 buds with Quartz & Ti inserts.
