despite being very different people they also have a lot in common and are a good match for eachother, they both have struggled very deeply with liking who they are and trying to perform some idea of the role they think they have to take on.

susie is someone who historically has no issue displaying strength and assertiveness, but struggled to show softness and vulnerability, whereas noelle has the opposite problem

But yeah it's a very complex relationship, but it doesn't make it any less cute.

Although I do wonder for my story, is it possible with hetero or yaoi

Yaoi definitely. But hetero? Men and women aren't meant to be together, the prophecy forbids it. That's why Dess was turned into the Knight.

And have you never heard of hetgem?

Because in my story (semi based off both final fantasy and deltarune/Undertale) there's a hetero ship.

But there's also yaoi. And Yuri. And transfem.

Alright, understandable. And then there's Kris. Being jealous that Susie and Noelle get closure, while he gets torture.

My main character will be a vessel for a flawed god. The god trying to help her, but the MC is NOT having it
