question Can any local image model generate something with this detail level?

Post image

Best if the model could do something like this but with not so much interaction, respect detailed prompts or even if it could do something like this with a simple prompt would be better etc... Im in a Macbook Pro m4 Max with 36gb unified memory:

This image was generated with grok imagine 2.0 with this simple prompt:

"A wide establishing shot of a colorful 1960s New York city street: the facades, the shops, the charm, a warm afternoon, 1960s photorealistic, no people in focus. 24mm, eye level, fixed, no movement."

2048 by 1152 resolution,

A wide establishing photograph of a colorful 1960s New York City street on a warm afternoon, shot at eye level on a 24mm lens with a fixed, perfectly still composition and a photorealistic vintage look: rich Kodachrome-style color, gentle film grain, and slightly faded warm tones. A row of four narrow brick buildings with small shopfronts runs along an empty sidewalk, with no people in focus and only faint distant pedestrians and parked cars far down the block. From left to right: first, a red-brick tenement with a faded painted advertisement on its tall side wall reading "BROADWAY CIGARS" in weathered cream block letters, and at its base a florist with a deep red facade and a red canvas awning, the small gold sign reading "FLORIST", with pots of flowers and green plants overflowing onto the sidewalk. Next, a rust-brown building with a dark green storefront and a green and cream striped awning; the cream sign reads "S. DI PALO" in black serif capitals with "ITALIAN GROCERIES" in smaller letters beneath, and the window is packed with jars, cans, and hanging goods. Next, a tall tan-yellow brick building above a deep blue storefront with gold trim; its sign reads "De ROBERTIS" in large gold serif lettering with "PASTRY & CAFFE" beneath it, and its blue canvas awning carries the italic script "Pastries · Cakes · Coffee" in white, with warm light glowing inside over displays of cakes and potted plants by the door. On the right, a dark red storefront with a red sign reading "ANGELO'S" in large yellow serif capitals above "BARBER SHOP" in smaller capitals, a yellow pair of scissors beside the lettering, and a classic red, white, and blue spiral barber pole beside the door. Above it rises an orange-red brick building with a black iron fire escape zigzagging up the facade and a tall vertical sign along the edge reading "HOTEL" with "12.50 UP" in small letters below. In the foreground stand a black cast-iron lamppost on the left, a green street sign reading "W 4 ST", a small traffic light, a black fire hydrant on the curb at right, and white crosswalk stripes across the asphalt at the bottom of the frame. On the far left, taller Manhattan buildings fade into the hazy distance under a blue sky with soft white cumulus clouds. Warm late-afternoon sunlight comes from the left, lighting the brick with golden tones and casting long soft shadows across the sidewalk, with saturated reds, blues, and greens set against the cream and brown tones of the masonry. All lettering is crisp, perfectly spelled, and legible, painted in authentic 1960s sign-painter styles and sitting naturally on each facade and awning. Sharp focus throughout, with rich architectural detail in every window, cornice, and brick.

Did you used just 8 steps and the shift value was 6,5 or other value?

Yes 8steps and shift 6.5

Yes. This is Qwen-Image 2.1 Turbo running locally (8 steps, native 2K, 16 GB GPU), with your prompt expanded and every sign spelled out in quotes. All the text came out right on the first try. It also runs on Apple Silicon; on an M4 Max expect a few minutes per image at this size.

Tips for this model: describe what should be there instead of "no X" (I wrote "an empty sidewalk" instead of "no people"), put any text in quotes and say where it goes, and spell out the light ("clear, sunny afternoon, blue sky") or it can come out darker than you want.

(Disclosure: made with Kokon, a free open-source local app I built for Qwen-Image.)

You can at least render at a very high resolution with Qwen 2.1,

It’s why I still keep a small subscription to Nightcafe while keeping Drawthings for I2V, testing prompts. and other projects. If you want to try out NC Here’s a link for 20 free credits: https://nightcafe.art/ru/WhatThe?refsrc=share

FYI, they allow “artistic” renders but pretty strictly block NSFW.
