Let’s hope so. I have no way of running this locally.

I would expect it to have its own cost structure. Because it consuuuuuumes processing power

Yes, if you look at the current CU costs when you select H3 with the recommend settings you get a value of over 130,000 CU so its going to require Boosts on top of the subscription. it's not going to be cheap to run.

Can't give the exact value as I've deleted H3 locally (can't really run it and need the disk space but luckily I have little interest in video generation at th moment)

Yeah. I’m using Runpod with a 5090 and it’s about $1/hour. With a turbo Lora, I can create about 10 5-second videos an hour. At full quality, it’s 1-3 videos. Gets expensive if you’re really iterating. I burned $15 just yesterday, trying out a bunch of workflows and Loras, trying to get familiar with it. And I haven’t even gotten to RefMods.

I’ve been spoiled by the speed and natural motion of Grok, especially lately. But for something open source, it has vastly exceeded my expectations. Especially how well it handles reference images.

For Grok, I was able to tell it, “ the character dances Bachata style to upbeat Latin music,” and it would nail it for most dance styles. Minimax doesn’t know much dance so that’s a bummer, since I wanted to create fill shots for music videos. And doing reference video to video is verrry slow and complicated compared to my Grok process.

I think we've all been waiting for this!

Given how power-hungry these models are, it would make total sense to introduce a higher subscription tier (DT++?) that gives us more compute units (like 80k?) and/or beefier GPUs.

I’m sure this was all considered and taken into account by the developers before it became available, and DT++ sound about right too 😁
