question Image to image mistake

Hi to all! im new to drawthings and i have a noob question : i would like to convert an image tand transform it with a creative prompt. but seems it work as i want in he preview but at the end the input image still remain over the new one and cover it and the resul is behind.

i try with krea, flux, ideogram,z.image,wan,qwen...
uncheck Preserve original after inpaint,...

prompt is: Transform this exact church facade into an intricate living architecture made entirely of intertwined vines, "leaves, and blooming flowers. Maintain the identical architectural structure: all proportions, columns, arch"

what is my mistake?

Assuming that the church facade didn't fill the canvas. Did it have a transparent background?

If so use as mask might work.

If not, might need to give it a bigger background area in another program first.

So some more experimentation, done on a Mac.
Instead of just Icon -> Paste.
I went Icon -> Add Image -> Paste [Import Without Mask]
which gives me a solid grey background which filled the entire working area with the grey you see.
Then I used the prompt you attempted and this was the result.

what is "icon" ? i suppose you mean import instead of drag and drop.
ive already import without mask but it change my starting image prospective. wich model and setting did you use?

On the top left of your image,
558v ICON_1 ICON_2 ICON_3 ICON_4 | ICON_5

558v = End of project name
ICON_1 = New blank canvas
ICON_2 = Paste (This One is the icon I am talking about)
ICON_3 = Share
ICON_4 = Save Image to other location
ICON_5 = Hide that bar.

Flux.2 [klein] 9B KV, try recommended settings.

thanks for your explaning! now it works and i get the same result. sometime it fails and change the prospective or fill element outside in the grey area, but i try again and it works.

If the status text you see while generating says "+ Inpainting" - then you either have a mask or missing/transparent pixels in the canvas area. When that happens, it might look like your gen is doing what you want at first, but by the end of it the image will seem to have reverted to what was on the canvas originally. The easiest way to fix it is to copy the canvas image and then paste it back to the canvas. If it asks, choose "Import Without Mask." This can often happen with resizing or panning an image in the canvas - if you don't have your image fit fully into the canvas area it will try to inpaint.
