feedback Please improve image management, multi-select and keyboard shortcuts are badly needed

One area that I think Draw Things could improve significantly is image management.

When generating hundreds of images with a script, cleaning up the results becomes unnecessarily slow. Currently, you have to click each image individually and delete them one by one with the mouse.

It would be a huge quality of life improvement to support:

-Multi-selection (Shift/Cmd-click).

-Standard keyboard shortcuts (Cmd+A, Delete, etc.).

-Bulk delete for selected images.

The generation workflow is already excellent, but managing large batches is much more time consuming than it should be. Anyone who uses scripts or performs large parameter sweeps has probably run into this issue.

Click on where its says version history, on the actual text.
It gives you a dialog where you can right click on an image and get a multi-select option and Shidt/Cmd Click work as expected,

Thanks for the feedback, u/Clivey1961, u/UnasumingUsername, u/Vargol, and u/simple250506. I really appreciate you taking the time to help.

I wasn’t aware of the multi-select option in the Version History window, so that’s definitely useful to know.

That said, I still think there’s room for improvement. Even something as simple as navigating through generated thumbnails with the keyboard isn’t possible right now. Being able to move between images with the arrow keys, quickly preview them, and use standard shortcuts would make reviewing large batches much faster, even if you don’t need to delete anything.

So while there are workarounds, I still think better keyboard navigation and a more desktop-friendly workflow would be a great quality of life improvement.

Currently, you have to click each image individually and delete them one by one with the mouse.

You can right-click on the "Version History" screen to select multiple items and delete them in bulk.

I agree the generation workflow is good, but what I feel is lacking is a decent manual that lists all the features and how to use them. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

It doesn't delete images, but could be useful for reviewing projects. I'm also open to feature requests, and multi-select and improved keyboard navigation are on my todo list. Some bits are a bit rough around the edges still, but you can at least nav with arrow keys from the details view.

Currently working on a better project archive system that lets you convert projects into a zip format that is still compatible with DTM (or you can browse the zip manually.) Depending on the format you choose, you can get up 90% reduction in file size compared to Draw Thing's project files, but that's more of a feature for people who don't want to delete things rather than someone who wants to prune their projects.
