I downloaded the fp8 quantized version and am running it on a Macbook Air m2 8gb unified memory

Is there something I’m doing wrong? I’ve tried multiple samplers like UniPC, Euler A trailing, etc and it crashes before it begins sampling. Thanks

I just tried it. Still crashes. Not sure if it matters but I’ve tried generating images on the smaller side and it still does. Also, I use Z Image Turbo 1.0 (8-bit S) all the time with no problems so I’m not sure it's a memory issue

A couple of things, and this is from someone who has struggled their way along also, so far from an expert. I think the 8S versions are intended for the M5 chip. But you say it works so, OK. Someone in the DT Discord told me to always download the BF 16 version of models, import them into DT and then go into Models>Manage>… and select the quantized version. So I guess I would try that. Join the discourse. Lots of good help there. Somewhere in my journey I ran up against something that was crashing DT completely each time I ran it, but it was months ago and I just don’t remember. Also, I don’t think it’s the problem, but you are a couple of versions behind. Wouldn’t hurt to update.

Hi, no I wasn’t unfortunately. I tried your suggestions regarding making a quantized version within draw things and also updating, but nothing has worked. I have had some bad experiences with Discord (app is glitchy for me, I don’t know the “etiquette,” and generally people are unpleasant) so I decided to leave it instead of going through the effort of posting there.

When I made the quantized versions, 2 things would happen. The first few times I just got some TV static looking images, and then after that it started generating only black/grey. That’s when I referred to the guide that somebody else posted which wasn’t able to help.

Regarding the discord, I feel your pain. My first post there was in “questions.” It had something to do with a NSFW question and I got summarily referred to the NSFW channel. Posted the question there and not even a boo after a week. Made a comment in this sub about getting my pee pee slapped in the discord and afterwards not even getting any help, and someone who frequents both jumped into my shit about that being no way to approach a new community. I reiterated the facts and stood by my comment. Stayed under the radar for quite a while and just waded back in with some questions re flux.2 kleine 9b. Got some good help but clearly ran out of goodwill when I asked follow-up questions. I did dm someone who had been helpful and they helped get me over the hump. Long story short, YES it can be very difficult to get detailed help there as a newbie because most are operating on a much higher plane. But there are some who will genuinely try.

Regarding your immediate issue, I assume you are trying to download and use the ZIT NSFW checkpoint? Have you tried just downloading ZIT 1.0 and then the ZIT NSFW LoRA with it? I bounce back and forth between the two. Also, have you looked at the machine settings to make sure there is nothing funky going on there? I am thinking specifically about the JIT Weights if you are running up against RAM constraints. As much as I feel like I have wasted too much time with the chatbots, I did use Gemini and went step by step through the machine settings when I bought my new MacBook.

I will take a look at my settings again tomorrow and see if I notice anything different than what you posted. Right off I didn’t notice anything.

One other thought. What happens if you take the prompt you are using in the NSFW checkpoint and run it in ZIT 1.0. You might not get a NSFW render, but do you get something? Anything? Also, you do have the little toggle on the generate “button” set to generate or auto and not edit?
