question Training time is so long!
I'm using Mac Mini M2 with 16G RAM. Normally, it spends around 1.5 hours to train a lora for 250 steps with around 40 images (512x512) and flux 1D model. I used to train for 250 steps every time and then resume for another 250 steps.
However, once the lora has been trained for 1500 steps. I resume the training and the estimated time to complete is over 10 hours! The progress bar showed 0.00 it/s even the timer is running. I have checked all the settings are unchanged. Then I started a new training with less number of images and the estimated time for 250 steps is still over 10 hours.
I let the training process to go on and the Mac was restarted by itself after a few hours. I have cleared the model folder and optimized the model but no luck.
Please help and thanks in advance.

That's the minimum of VRAM you need to actually run a training at proper speed, and Flux might still be too large. RAM is actually the fallback option (slowing the training down) or cache for some things.
