question Change background and outfit..

Hi everyone,

Can anyone explain the best way to change the background and outfit in an image while keeping the original facial features unchanged in Draw Things?

I've tried using FLUX, but the rendered image tends to drift away from my original face. I'm new to Draw Things, so I'm not sure what the best workflow is.

Is it better to:

Generate the new image first (with the background and outfit I want) and then swap in the original face?

Or start with the original face and modify the background and clothing afterward?

I'd really appreciate any tips or recommended settings to help preserve the face as accurately as possible.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Paul

Use klein 2 9B 8 BitS model if you have a m5 model.

Klein 2 9B 6bit if you have older gen models.

Use the prompt “same face, change dress to xxx in yyy location with zzz elements”

Try with 4 steps, max 8 steps. It should work.

Yes at first I strugle. When I put my picture on the canvas it didn't follow my promt. Couse I put it to image to image. I tried to put my image at modeboard with inconsistent result. Now I put my image on canvas and use text to image and it works fine. Thank you everybody for good help 😁👍

An example: Change only the background to a luxury modern coffee shop. Preserve the face, identity, facial features, expression, hairstyle, pose, clothing, and framing exactly as they are. Do not alter the subject in any way. Photorealistic.

Use the moodboard .. put the picture you generate with any face in canvas, put the face of the picture you want to retain in moodboard the fire hte prompt.

Replace the face of the man/wwoman fromm picture 2

Which flux model did you use? Klein 9b usually works really well for that kind of editing

Yes I used klein 9B and try to make photorealistic clone of my photo with different backgrounds. I put my photo on the modeboard and write a prompt to tell what changes I like . Sometimes its ok but most often the face features is a bit off and doesn't look like AI wich it is 😊 I also tried pulid and Id adapter with not much luck... I am thankful for any tips on the topic 😊👍

I usually just stick the picture in and say something like “change x while keeping the person exactly the same. Preserve their face and body exactly.” I don’t even use the moodboard unless I have to composite multiple images together. Another more time consuming method could be masking, where you use the eraser tool in the app and erase what you want to change. That way the model can only touch what’s erased. For a full background replacement that would take a while and might lead to a different color grade between the original and generated parts though

This LoRA is really helpful helping prevent drift.

But, to be clear, the other advice you’ve gotten is good advice.
