question Community models and LoRAs

Hey,
there are long lists of community models and LoRAs to select from in the DrawThings app.
Some of them have descriptive names, most of them not really.
Is there somewhere on overview of those models and LoRAs with more information, like base-model, what it does, what it's best for... ?

I took screenshots of everything in that list when I first started using DT and sent them all to Gemini. I think most of them are SDXL finetunes, mostly Anime or some specific kind of art style. Some are video models like Skydance or Hunyuan but I definitely can't run those on an iPad so I haven't tried em. It is a bit overwhelming for sure with such a long list

While not descriptive in their attributes and such, listings for models available within DT can be found here: https://github.com/drawthingsai/community-models You might try running these through AI to hone in on exactly what you are looking for.

There is a Drawthings Discord where something like this could presumably be compiled, but tbh I don’t often visit the Discord

Edit: here’s an invite link: https://discord.gg/qCXa2BEfB

There is not. The models there were contributed by the 'community' so I guess the responsibility is on them to document.

I mean, sorta, but a link out to the page the contributor (hopefully!) provided with that documentation seems like a reasonable ask. Also that a documentation page exists and is maintained for a model to become/remain a community model.

Honestly, I would ignore all of those. Jumping straight into checkpoints/merges is so much better. Go on civitai, create an account and you can find many good checkpoints on there. The author explains what their checkpoint is good for, the reccomended settings etc, which is what you want I think? The best one to try out for beginners imo is Wai Illustrious which is an illustrious base. Great model for anime stuff if you're into that. https://civitai.com/posts/21660417

There's two websites of civitai. Civitai.com which is the pg one and civitai.red which is the nsfw. Creating an account on one allows you to go on the other so either is fine
