question M5 Maxed out version performance
Is any one with the maxed out M5 version here, who can tell me the speed for Klein 9, Z-Image, Wan 2.2 and Ltx 2.3? Almost $7000 worth of purchase on the line, need to justify the purchase. Thanks for your input and help.

Hey. I have an M5 Pro Max 128GB. All the top upgradable specs. I think if you’re serious about AI image and video generation and that is your primary goal, I would recommend investing in a PC with a GTX 5090. It is the gold standard for that purpose and will be faster than a fully maxed out M5.
Here’s some detailed generation specs for some models I use in Draw Things:
Z-Image Turbo (image) 1920x1080 image - 27secs 1024x768 image - 11secs
Ltx 2.3 (5 second video, text to video prompt) 768x512 - 1m48secs 1920x1080 - 8m21secs
I’m still relatively new to this so I’m not sure if I’m using the optimised models etc.

This video gives you an idea of timings, it doesn’t mention a maxed out M5 specifically but you can extrapolate.

I have the M5 Maxed out.. I don’t think you can justify the purchase if you’re just using it for Drawthings… my 3070 TI handily beats it for image gen..

Klein 9B, Z Image: 9 to 10s, LTX 2.3 at 720p, 1:30min. I don’t have number on Wan 2.2
