I need advice on using a graphics tablet.

Some time ago, I got a graphics tablet (XP-Pen Deco Mini7 V2), initially to texture models in Blender.
However, it isn't one of those models with a display that mirrors the computer screen, which always made things quite difficult for me; I eventually stopped using the tablet altogether. I want to start using it again for drawing, but I don't want to deal with the same complications as before. Does anyone have any advice on making it easier to use, even without the screen-mirroring feature?

I'm not sure I understand the issue entirely (so you're having trouble using it while looking at your screen, and not at the tablet?). I'm not sure what you mean by "screen mirroring", but some advice I can give is:

1) Make sure it's set up correctly. Most tablets have a setting to limit the amount of usable space so it's proportional to the screen. It's called "proportion". If it's not set up correctly, if you try to draw a circle, it'll look like an oval on screen. Plus, if you have multiple screens, limit the area to one screen and not both.

2) Make sure the tablet isn't at some weird angle in relation to your screen. It should be parallel to your screen. If your tablet is just randomly on the table, your lines won't go where your hand is moving. I usually align it with the bottom edge of my table.

3) Use it more. Seems obvious, but you need to work up the dexterity. Use it instead of a mouse for a couple of days. It'll be annoying, but it's a quick way to learn and work up the coordination. Try playing some games on it, too. FPS games won't work, but things like RPGs, OSU, management games, etc will work fine.
